The date has been set for the first major Lord’s Taverners ACT event of 2020.
On Thursday, 27 February 2020, the Lord’s Taverners ACT – in partnership with Cricket ACT – will host a Women’s T20 World Cup Breakfast at the National Press Club in Barton.
Women’s T20 World Cup matches will be taking place at Manuka Oval from 26-28 February and the date for the breakfast has been selected to align with these matches.
Similar to the highly-successful inaugural Canberra Test Match Breakfast that the Lord’s Taverners ACT (also in partnership with Cricket ACT) held in February of this year, the 2020 Lord’s Taverners ACT Women’s T20 World Cup Breakfast will include a number of high-profile guest speakers.
The first confirmed speaker is former Australian player and current Cricket Australia High Performance Manager (women’s cricket), Leah Poulton.
Further speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Funds raised at the event will go towards the Lord’s Taverners ACT’s work supporting local young and disadvantaged cricketers and other athletes.
