On 31 October seventy-two members and guests enjoyed one of our best ever Annual Dinners. Held at Royal Canberra Golf Club the surroundings were superb, the meal excellent, and our speakers exceptional.
We were fortunate to have as our guest speakers Scott Readon and Vanessa Low who had not long returned from a very successful Para Olympics in Paris. We also had an excellent MC in Hannah Walmsley. All three held the room spellbound by their spirit and charm. Vanessa bought along her gold medals giving everyone the opportunity to hold them and she and Scott moved around the room to chat with the diners.
Overall, the evening was an outstanding success, and we raised over $7,000 which we will use to support the young and disadvantaged in Canberra and the surrounding district.
