2 January 2021 –

Funds raised by the Lord’s Taverners ACT to support local young and disadvantaged cricketers and other athletes were given a much-needed boost by another successful Bunnings sausage sizzle.

Thanks to several committee members, volunteers from the broader membership of the Lord’s Taverners ACT and volunteers in general, $1338.14 was raised through this tasty initiative.

The Lord’s Taverners ACT would like to thank everyone who bought a sausage – with or without onion – at the sizzle, which took place at Bunnings in Gungahlin on Sunday, 1 November.

As has been the situation with the many other Bunnings sausage sizzles that the Lord’s Taverners ACT has been involved in, the latest event was also a success. This is significant given the ACT is still suffering from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Lord’s Taverners ACT would like to especially acknowledge Treasurer, Keith Hardy for being the driving force behind this sausage sizzle.
