The response to our PM’s XI Match Dinner at Manuka Oval on Thursday night has been excellent. It promises to be another outstanding night of entertainment, notably from our guest speaker, Ian Healy.
While we have had a range of good raffle/silent auction prizes at PM’s XI Dinners in past years, this year’s prizes are some of the best ever. They include:
- A cricket coaching clinic (donated by Cricket ACT) under the guidance of the head coaches of the ACT Comets and/or ACT Meteors and/or Sydney Thunder for two hours for up to 15 players at Cricket ACT’s state-of-the-art new headquarters, which include indoor nets (silent auction);
- A round of golf with Canberra’s global golfing export (and expert), Japanese tour player Brendan Jones – for up to three players at Royal Canberra Golf Club, which also includes Callaway hats and a dozen of Brendan’s personal stock of balls (silent auction); and
- Dinner to the value of $300 at Lanterne Rooms restaurant, Campbell (first prize in the raffle).
For those who are attending on Thursday night, this advance notice will give you a chance to organise your bids for these superb prizes.
If you can’t attend on Thursday night, but would still like to bid – or you know of someone who would like to bid – no worries. For the two silent auction items above, we are accepting pre-dinner bids from now until Thursday. Or, you can nominate a proxy to bid for you at the event on Thursday night.
If you would like to take up either of these options, please let us know via email by clicking here.
Funds raised at our PM’s XI Match Dinner, including from the silent auction and raffle, go towards helping young and disadvantaged local cricketers and other athletes.
