5 January 2021 –
The current Lord’s Taverners Australia national raffle, known as the “Taverners Sporting Chance Raffle”, has an earlier than usual deadline – Sunday, 31 January (i.e. the end of this month).
So if you haven’t yet purchased a ticket or tickets and would like to, please ensure you do this before the deadline.
Cricket clubs (including school cricket clubs), other sporting clubs and other organisations (even non-sporting organisations) can raise funds for themselves by selling raffle tickets. For each $5 ticket sold, these organisations are able to retain half of the cost of each ticket (i.e. $2.50).
There is a host of superb prizes on offer, including a $10,000 Harvey Norman gift card, a Canberra experience package (escorted tour of the Australian War Memorial, tickets to the feature exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia, lunch or dinner with Senator the Hon Zed Seselja at Parliament House and accommodation at Hotel Realm), a Kookaburra cricket kit valued at up to $3500, a cricket bat signed by the 2018/19 Australian one-day cricket team and a $500 Coles gift card.
Thank you to all of the sponsors for their generous support.
Funds raised by the national raffle go towards the work of the Lord’s Taverners, including the Taverners’ support of the National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC). To learn more about how valuable the NCIC is to those who compete, you can watch a short interview with the Captain of Tasmania’s NCIC team (and Mowbray Cricket Club player), Alan Dengate, by clicking here.

Unfortunately, ACT residents are unable to purchase tickets online, but if you would like to buy tickets and don’t have access to a raffle book, particularly if you are a local sporting club or organisation which is keen to use the raffle as a fundraiser, please email us by clicking here.
