PM’s XI Match/Annual Dinner

The Lord’s Taverners ACT Prime Minister’s XI Match Dinner is one of the signature events on the Canberra sporting calendar.

It is traditionally held the evening before the Prime Minister’s XI Match and features high-profile guest speakers.

For many years, the event was known as the “Invincibles Dinner”, with special guests from “The Invincibles”, the Australian team which toured England in 1948 and didn’t lose a match.

In recent years, the Prime Minister’s XI Match Dinner has been held in conjunction with the Lord’s Taverners ACT Annual Dinner.

The Annual Dinner is usually when the Graham Wilkinson Memorial Junior Taverners Awards are announced.

The next Prime Minister’s XI Match Dinner is scheduled for 23 October 2019 (the night before the Prime Minister’s XI plays Sri Lanka at Manuka Oval), where the guest speaker will be General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK AC (Mil) CVO MC (RETD), former Governor-General of Australia.
